Following the motion 118 votes by the Polkadot Council, the Polkadot Parachain slot auction has a clear timeline. The first auction will start on November 11th, 2021, with a single auction period of 7 days. We will use candle bids to motivate bidders to participate.

Bifrost SALP (Slot Auction Liquidity Protocol) went live on September 16th, supporting six successful parachain projects in the Kusama slot bidding, gaining a lot of experience in bidding and building a comprehensive bidding support model.

Currently, SALP supports Polkadot parachain slot bidding and has partnered with Acala/Moonbeam (pre-supported)/Astar/Manta/Litentry as the first SALP-supported Polkadot parachain bidding projects. In addition, there are additional BNC rewards and Derivatives Farming events to participate in by voting for these projects via the SALP. Here is a tutorial on how to enter the Contribution part via the Bifrost Dapp.

SALP Voting Tutorial

Step 1: Go to the Bifrost Dapp and select vCrowdloan: https://bifrost.app/

Step 2: Select the item you want to vote on and click on the Contribute button

Step 3: Once you have input the number of DOTs to vote for, click Confirm.

Step 4: After confirming the fees and Derivatives asset, click Confirm to open the on-chain signature

Step 5: Signature completed, showing success

Step 6: Find My Salp in vCrowdloan to access the voting history

Note: Minting for vsDOT and vsBond is not yet supported in the current version. These Derivatives will go live in the next version v0.9.8 update. Once live, you will be able to view your vsDOT and vsBond derivatives in your Wallet.
